Explore one of Prague’s most historic areas and discover the life, traditions, and history of the Jewish community in Bohemia and Moravia. This walking tour takes you through the main sights of the former Jewish Ghetto and also explores the places connected to Franz Kafka, Prague’s most famous Jewish writer.
We’ll begin at the Maisel Synagogue, where you’ll discover the story of Jewish life in Bohemia and Moravia. From there, we’ll continue to the Old-New Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in Central Europe and one of Prague’s most important landmarks.
Next, we’ll visit the Pinkas Synagogue, a moving Holocaust memorial, and the Old Jewish Cemetery, one of the most significant in Europe. The tour will finish at the Spanish Synagogue, famous for its stunning Moorish-style interiors and its ongoing role as a center for Sephardic Jews.
Finally, we’ll follow in the footsteps of Franz Kafka, exploring places in Prague connected to his life and work.
