The Art of Slowing Down
If Prague is about energy, Karlovy Vary is about slowing down in style. Founded by Emperor Charles IV in the 14th century around its healing springs, this elegant spa town has welcomed kings, composers, artists, and dreamers for centuries.
Today, graceful colonnades, grand hotels, and Belle Époque architecture create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the Czech Republic. The town is synonymous with some of the finest things the country has to offer – from the world-renowned craftsmanship of Moser crystal to the herbal warmth of Becherovka liqueur. We’ll also visit the beautifully restored Imperial Spa, a symbol of Karlovy Vary’s golden age and a filming location featured in the James Bond movie Casino Royale.
Together, we’ll stroll through the historic center, taste the thermal springs, and soak up the atmosphere that has attracted visitors for centuries.
And because Karlovy Vary is all about slowing down, we’ll take time for a traditional spa coffee prepared with thermal water and Becherovka.
